This Qualicaps inspection machine combines computer image processing
technique and CCD line sensor camera to capsule rectification-transfer
mechanism. The appearance of the capsule is inspected by direct image
capture with the camera, controlling its orientation and rotating the
capsule during intermittent transfer.
The machine controls filled hard capsules directly on the line by
meticulous examination of pharmaceutical or nutraceutical products. It
allows accurate inspection of capsule appearance performed by color
line sensor cameras with the possible immediate expulsion from the
production line through an appropriate rejection system, when the
machine detect itself anomalies on the product.

The multi-row rotary rectification system is used to control the
direction and stop the rotation of capsules for inspection at a
throughput of 50,000 capsules per hour, resulting in high inspection
accuracy with no blind spots.
The following defects can be detected: foreign matter, dirt, tears,
broken capsules, splinters, punctures, crushes, granule bites,
fissures, dents, double caps, mid-capsule folds, M5358273 tear-off
(unjointed capsules), dissimilar, non-printed capsules, print-out, and
length defects.
Rectification of capsules is made by many lines rotary rectification
equipment. Capsules rectified are transferred to inspection drum which
turns intermittently at high speed.
By parallel lighting highly accurate and reliable inspection without
dead angle can be made. Defective capsules are discharged from
inspection drum turning intermittently by pressed air.
The graphic panel is equipped as standard and current operation and
inspection can be checked by camera, row at real time.
