The main aim of this step is to protect the modules from external influences and thus increase their resistance. The main stresses that can affect them are water, oxygen, light and temperature. The encapsulation step consists of laminating a barrier film on both sides of the module to plasticize the module. The barrier films are held in place by the automatic application of a UV-crosslinkable adhesive activated by UV lamps installed on the equipment. Including: - The central machine This comprises a transport table for the modules, two unwinders for removing the upper and lower barrier films, a laminating unit, a UV treatment unit and an output unit with module cutting - A computer This enables the machine to be controlled via the GUI.
