WALTER WOODTRONIC C5 CNC circular saw sharpening machine was built in
2005. This highly efficient machine is the perfect solution for
complete machining of circular saws with a maximum diameter of 710 mm,
with teeth of all known geometries. Thanks to its 5 axes, including an
automatic B-axis, the grinding process of tooth flank and tooth rake
face is performed in a single pass, saving valuable time and
increasing work efficiency. The sturdy construction made of
high-quality gray cast iron additionally effectively dampens all
vibrations and oscillations, which translates into achieving the
highest precision and quality of grinding.
WALTER WOODTRONIC CNC circular saw sharpener performs machining in the
following variants.
Grinding of the tooth rake face:
– variant 1 – grinding with infeed, outfeed and return in rapid
traverse
– variant 2 – grinding with infeed in return movement, return
stroke feed set separately
– variant 3 – oscillating grinding, total loss/loss per stroke =
number of grinding movements, forward stroke feed and return stroke
feed set separately
– variant 4 – squeeze strokes
Grinding of the tooth flank:
– variant 1 – grinding of the flank face in forward motion:
grinding from the apex through the tooth ridge with infeed, offset and
return in rapid traverse
– variant 2 – grinding of the flank face in the return movement:
grinding of the tooth ridge towards the apex with infeed, offset and
return in rapid traverse
– variant 3 – oscillating grinding in forward motion, total loss/
loss per stroke = number of grinding movements
– variant 4 – oscillating grinding in return motion, total loss/
loss per stroke = number of grinding movements
– variant 5 – squeeze stroke
