Wire cooling machine (From a Plant for fire aluminizing steel wire) The coated wire exits the coating device at a temperature > 550°C. The wire temperature must be lowered for the winding process. After the first brief quenching and solidification of the coating, the wire is cooled atmospherically in a cooling channel by means of a cooling fan. The atmospheric cooling prevents the wire from cooling too quickly and thus solidifying (increasing strength).
